Paving in Hollywood.

Hollywood projects can look different near the beach than they do inland. Coastal exposure, shade, drainage, condo rules, and small commercial parking needs all affect the right driveway or paving plan.

Your property. Your neighborhood.

Driveway, paver, concrete, and parking lot estimates for coastal and inland Hollywood properties.

Coverage is confirmed by address and project scope.

Beachside and inland conditions

Salt air and limited staging matter near the beach. Inland properties may need more focus on older slabs, shade, and driveway width. Photos help the estimate start in the right place.

Condos, HOAs, and shared access

Shared lots and associations can affect work windows, materials, and parking access. Those rules should be part of the estimate notes before scheduling.

Small commercial lots

Hollywood storefronts and offices may need asphalt repair, striping, or clearer parking flow. The estimate can separate surface work from marking work for easier review.

Before you inquire

  • Send photos of the full work area plus the street, alley, or parking-lot entrance.
  • Mention whether the property is beachside, inland, condo-managed, or HOA-managed.
  • Photograph salt-worn edges, low spots, lifted surfaces, and faded lot lines.
  • For businesses, share the preferred work window and customer access needs.
Permits & inspections

Hollywood driveway permits

Hollywood’s published driveway checklist says installation, replacement, or major repair of a driveway requires a building permit. It calls for a permit application from a licensed structural contractor or owner-builder, a current signed and sealed survey, a site plan with location, setbacks, dimensions, and materials, plus additional documents where the scope calls for them. The City explicitly distinguishes single-family work from multifamily or commercial work by requiring Zoning review for the latter. Historic-district projects can require additional Planning review and Board approval for a new circular driveway. The City also offers a right-of-way permit route through Engineering, Transportation and Mobility.

  1. Use the driveway checklist

Prepare the application, current survey, and site plan showing existing and proposed driveway conditions. Include the material and dimensions, and check for trees, stamped concrete, pavers, or other listed documents.

  2. Identify added review

Confirm whether the address is historic, multifamily, or commercial. Hollywood’s checklist says those conditions can add Planning or Zoning review. Confirm Engineering review for a public right-of-way component.

  3. Clear the inspection gate

For contracts over $5,000, a recorded Notice of Commencement must be submitted before the first inspection can be scheduled. The checklist identifies plan dimensions, setbacks, and damaged sidewalk repair as common inspection-denial issues.

Questions about the area.

Do beachside Hollywood properties need different planning?

Often, yes. Salt air, access, and drainage can affect material choice and scheduling. Send photos and note whether the property is near the beach.

Can condo or HOA rules be included in the quote?

Yes. Upload or summarize the rules with your estimate request so material, timing, and access constraints are visible early.

Can parking lot striping be quoted for a small Hollywood business?

Yes. Include photos, approximate stall count, and the preferred work window so the team can review striping and surface needs together.
